A typescript copy of a journal kept by Elisha Loomis on a tour of the Hawaiian Islands as a missionary. The journal begins on 17 May 1824 and concludes on 27 January 1826. Loomis gives a valuable account of the activities on the islands, the people who lived there, other missionaries, and places he visited such as Lahaina, Kaawaroa, Waititi and Wailupu. A list of proper pronunciation of Hawaiian names and places is included in the journal.
